Q & A for Allen Pierce...
What drove you to the restaurant industry and more specifically open this restaurant?
I’ve always had a passion for the restaurant business. Owning a restaurant specializing in breakfast was always a dream of mine. Not like a diner but a place where family’s and friends come together. I was always a caterer but when Ray Martin and the Ray Martin Agency showed me this location (Stratford Skillet) became available I knew it was the place for me.
How is it serving the Stratford community?
It’s truly wonderful I enjoy it very much. The people of Stratford are warm inviting and friendly. They have become like a family. It’s such a wonderful community.
What excites you most about the industry?
To be honest being able to give back. I love to donate to a great guy named Alex Ramos he runs a nonprofit named Square up for others. We donate food and our time to help feed the homeless among other things. It’s truly a fulfilling experience.
Anything exciting coming up for the New Year?
We have some major plans for the new year and exciting news coming soon. I’m just not ready to announce it yet but it’s worth waiting for!
